What To Look For When Choosing A Wedding Venue
Having been to many weddings this past year I got to thinking, What should Brides and Grooms Look for when selecting a venue for their reception. When Planning your wedding there are many things to consider. One of the most important aspect of your wedding which should be given much consideration is where you are going to have your wedding reception.
When making this important decision you should map out a budget and create a list of what you want and/or envision your wedding reception venue to include, look like, offer and so on. You should also keep in mind what you feel is the most important and by saying this I mean what are you paying for? Are you paying for the food, the location, the view? Well you get the point. In my case I wanted to have a room with great ambiance an unique entrance for my Husband and I to be introduced, a place to take wedding photos both outdoors and indoor (in case of rain), and most importantly GREAT food and A vast supply of beverages alcoholic and non-alcoholic . I was able to obtain all these things I was looking for at the venue I selected for my wedding reception. My choice also came with a two year waiting list which was a price I was willing to pay to secure that particular venue.
When selecting your venue you should ask for a sample of the menu, discuss any special arrangements or requests you have. You should also inquire about a tasting and be suspicious of venues which do not offer any food tastings. Ask for vendor recommendations such as florists that they frequently work with as well as photographers and so on, you might be able work in some discounts. But most importantly make sure this is the venue you want to choose before you book it.
